Needle Cakes

A bit of felt of different colors, braid, beads and cotton wool, and of course, of course - and now you have a wonderful accessory for a sewing corner!

YOU WILL NEED: for one needle bed: felt 1.5 mm thick - for "cakes" of a darker shade size. 20 x 40 cm and for the "glaze" of a lighter shade size. 20 x 20 cm. Cotton wool for stuffing. Decorative braid or narrow lace. Beads and bugles. Threads for sewing. Silk paper.
HOW TO MAKE: copy the pattern, enlarge, separately copy and enlarge the pattern for the "glaze." From felt, cut out 2x “cake”, according to internal cuts with 5 mm allowances. Cut out the “Glaze” 1x, along internal cuts with 3 mm allowances. The outer edge can be cut with zigzag scissors. On the upper side of the “cake” you can randomly sew lace or lace; it can also be decorated with decorative stitches manually or on a sewing machine. Put “Glaze” on the upper side of the “cake”, sweep along the inner edge. Allowances to cut several times. Turn out. Stitch external sections to the edge, leave a hole for turning out approx. 5 cm. Tightly stuff with cotton and sew in the hole. To sew beads and bugles.
