Master Class:

1. For such a dress you need only two measurements.

The first is the chest girth. Take measurements and multiply the result by 1.5 or 2 - depending on how magnificent you want to make the skirt of your dress.

The second measurement is the length of the product. Measure the length of the future dress from the chest at about armpit level down to the desired length. Mini, midi, maxi - this model will look good in any of the options.

After taking the measurements, spread the fabric on the work surface and draw on it the detail of the dress (see. Picture-scheme).Then add seam allowances and machining and cut the part.

2. Using a ruler and a marker or pencil for fabric, draw lines of future assemblies on the top of the dress. Draw the first line, departing from the upper edge about 4 cm (the first line you will also process the upper edge of the dress), then draw parallel lines every 2 cm. Stop where you want to finish the fitting part of the dress. You can make a dress with a high waist or a little understated - to your taste.

3. Tuck and iron the upper edge of the dress detail to process it. Thread elastic threads into the sewing machine. Start to sew lines along the drawn lines (the first line process the top of the dress). Get the number of lines you need.

4. Thread ordinary sewing threads into the machine in fabric color. Sew the dress along the longitudinal seam, process the seam. Work on the bottom edge of the dress.

5. Finally, iron the dress, paying special attention to its assembled part. Done!
