Leisl admits to adoring vintage fashion. She sews outfits in the spirit of the last century herself - and first of all, these are dresses.

About the page author

Our heroine today is called Leisl, she lives in Melbourne, Australia. Leisl loves needlework in general, and sewing and knitting in particular. "Vintage fashion is my passion!" - admits Leisl. For sewing, she often uses patterns created decades ago, while often changing and complementing patterns. According to Leisl, everything is not always smooth. Everything that happens can happen to the one who sews: numerous adjustments, alterations to patterns, completely failed projects, which are not realized on the first try. “But as a result, I get pretty dresses that I will be happy to wear, plus new lessons in the science of sewing,” says Leisl.

What is this page about

In February 2018, Leisl decided that the next 12 months would be “the year of vintage sewing” for her. All the things that she will sew for herself should be sewn according to patterns that are at least 30 years old. A year has passed, but judging by the updates on our heroine’s page, her “vintage marathon” continues. Most photographs are pictures of charming dresses that could very well have been stitched sometime in the last century.
