Modern sewing machines can do much more than sew with straight stitches or zigzag. The editors of Burda met with the new product from Pfaff ...

Pfaff Ambition 1.5 sewing machine with toutchscreen display

FIRST IMPRESSION
The car looks elegant and strict. All images of stitches are hidden under a hinged lid. There are 195 stitches in total, they are numbered and sorted into groups: use (stitch, decoration, stitching, embroidery), material, decorativeness. 4 different font stitches attract attention.
I really liked the bright illumination of the working surface with two halogen lamps, as well as the increased working surface.
Of course, everyone, without exception, wanted to work on the touchscreen display.
START-STOP BUTTONS, SEPARATE MOTIVES
Super: there is a separate button for automatically starting or stopping the machine. Same for selecting “reverse stitches” and “separate motive”. This is especially convenient for switching to the "separate motive" program, with which individual motifs are sewn or sewn.
But: by pressing the half button, it is easy to confuse the functions, especially to those who sew quickly or in a hurry.
NEW: TOUCHSCREEN DISPLAY

The display immediately attracts attention (more than other details). It is served using a special handle. Those who love new technology and electronics will enjoy working with such a display.
As with conventional machines, it is first set to the desired type of stitch, and then its width and length.
Very convenient: all motifs are displayed and stored in the computer's memory. A special signal will draw your attention to the fact that the functions are set.
Additional service: the display shows the selected presser foot and thread tension. By the way, anyone who prefers a display with regular buttons can choose a similar brand: Pfaff Ambition 1.0.
SPEED OF WORK
An ideal service for machining complex parts: by moving the button to the right or left, you can adjust the speed of the machine.
It is also easy, just by pressing a button, you can lower the needle, for example, if you need to interrupt the work in the middle or at the corner.
MACHINE FEET AND TRANSPORTER
These details were liked by everyone who participated in the testing of the machine: the foot is transparent, and the spool is inserted very easily and quickly from the top.
Very comfortable for working with velvet and silk: the patented additional upper conveyor, as well as two new additional lower conveyors in front of the presser foot of the machine.
PLACE FOR STORING ACCESSORIES

Five with a fat plus: there is enough space for five additional legs (including a great foot for overcasting), for numerous spools with thread, knives for ripping and much more ...
OUR FIND
Good value for money, and not just for the iPhone generation. The ideal machine for advanced sewing - they will certainly appreciate the ability to perform a huge number of stitches and additional functions.
For those who are just starting to sew and are going to improve, we would also recommend buying such a machine: it is easy and convenient to use, for beginners the ability to set a low speed is especially valuable.
CARE TIPS
From time to time, any sewing machine needs to be lubricated with special resin-free machine oil.
Only clean the machine with a brush!
Never try to remove dust from the machine with a vacuum cleaner - as a result, it can penetrate deep into the machine!
TEST THE MACHINE YOURSELF!
Before buying, check the following points on the sewing machine:
Expediency: decide what you will sew - only clothes or different decorative things. Depending on this, ask to show a machine with a specific set of functions.
Check the stitches and stitching on different fabrics.
Sew on the machine for at least one hour for testing.
Decide which programs you will need and which ones you will never use.
Think about how easy it will be for you to take care of the machine.
Ask where the nearest service is located.
Calculate in advance how many additional accessories you will need to purchase for sewing on this machine.
