Zurich is an amazingly diverse city. A cozy hotel, amazing architecture and, of course, an unforgettable shopping experience - this is what awaits happy travelers who decide to visit this fabulous place.

Looking up from a cup of coffee, I notice Dr. House picking a croissant for breakfast at the Park Hyatt Zurich. “Perhaps we should watch less TV shows,” I think, but here at the next table Hugh Laurie really settles. He is not surrounded by crowds of fans eager for an autograph, and breakfast is absolutely peaceful.
The atmosphere of the hotel, and, of course, of Zurich itself, is somewhat unhurried (however, far from annoying slowness).
A leisurely dinner at the parkhuus restaurant (14 Gault Millau points) or gatherings by the fireplace at the hotel, a cocktail at the stunningly beautiful ONYX Bar, where stars like to gather, take ordinary walks along the lake or through the maze of the old town ...
Zurich invariably sets in its own way even eternally hurrying tourists and businessmen. Perhaps it is precisely for this calm and lack of annoying attention, the unique atmosphere combining the comfort of the old city and the possibilities of the modern business capital that many people like Zurich more than other European cities.
In the offseason, Zurich often seems gray and inhospitable. But, as in old watercolors, behind the silvery shades of the central streets, a bright “lining” is constantly visible. One has only to take a few steps from the station and the bustling life of Bahnhofstrasse, you find yourself in the present, "that" Zurich. In a slightly fabulous city with houses decorated with frescoes, recognizable cathedrals by the Limmat River, a little arrogant swans and seagulls on the lake.
It is especially beautiful in Zurich in autumn, when the trees on the embankments and Linden Hill are painted in golden and ocher colors. With the onset of the first cold weather, literally on every corner they begin to trade roasted chestnuts, and from the end of November the city is already getting ready for Christmas.
Zurich is a many-sided city and completely different from what many people imagine. Unlike many European cities, the Zurich railway station, where the first thing tourists arrive from the airport, is not just a regular transport hub. Under the station building there is an extensive shopping center, open even on weekends when most of Switzerland's other shops are closed.
Directly from the train station, Zurich's most famous street, also named after him, Bahnhofstrasse (Bahnhofstrasse) begins. Perhaps the largest number of watch and jewelry stores in Zurich is concentrated on it, and the next designer boutique has recently opened. But you should not think that you will find only "window shopping" or window shopping. And on the Bahnhofstrasse, and in the old city, and a little further, in the more remote quarters of Zurich, there are a variety of shops for every taste budget. And for real finds from talented designers, you should go to the Zurich-West quarter.
