From winter to summer: all-season models

For each Burda pattern, specific recommendations are given for choosing a fabric. As a rule, this is due to the specific model and seasonality. But in some cases, you can go beyond the recommendations.

According to the patterns of dresses, trousers, vests, light coats and jackets made of warm wool, you can safely sew things of the spring-summer season from light fabrics. In this case, only one rule must be observed - pay attention to the patterns of only those models that do not contain clear recommendations on the choice of fabrics.

For instance:

- softly draped dressing fabrics - this is not only dressing wool, but also cotton, viscose, silk;
- jacket and coat fabrics - usually those that keep their shape. In addition to wool, it can be cotton, and linen, and satin silk, and jacquard;
- knitted fabrics - everything is simple here, choose not woolen knitwear. And even thin knitted fabrics are suitable for individual patterns;
- boucle - it can be either woolen or cotton;
- mixed fabrics.
Of course, if you are a pro, you can easily decide on the choice of fabric for any pattern without anyone's hint. But for those who doubt and, first of all, for beginners, our selection of patterns will clearly show which winter models can be easily turned into spring and even summer ones only by choosing another type of fabric.
